Spring at The Cake Bake Shop

I decided to pack my kids up and get us out of the house today for a cookie and coffee date to escape the cold! I had breakfast with the super sweet Molly Carr yesterday and her recent engagement session at the Cake Bake Shop had me craving their delicious desserts. I thought how fun would it be to take my camera along and document our little date to Indianapolis' fanciest and sparkliest bakery, The Cake Bake Shop. The shop is a local Indy favorite, and very quickly becoming nationally known, which is why when we rolled in around 3pm, it was packed and we were told we needed a reservation to get a chance at a table. Oops! I thought 3pm on a Wednesday would have been dead, not at this place, it was hoppin! So we took a seat at the bar and ordered our sparkly chocolate chip cookies (yes! Their desserts are all covered in edible glitter!!!) and Latte's (water for the kids - They don't need any more energy lol) and enjoyed the people watching. My kids managed to make a big ol' chocolate mess and the hostess was so sweet and gave my kids balloons that they immediately let go of on accident and lost, but they had a blast anyway. They loved all the sparkles and I couldn't help but take lots of pictures of the adorable shop becuase it is just so darn pretty to look at! If you are ever in Indianapolis, stop by the Cake Bake Shop!  You won't regret it, but maybe make a reservation.

I Love that all the desserts at The Cake Bake Shop are glittery!
